Zenith Prod. 35601SS Adjustable Curved Shower Rod

Out of the box this rod was quite easy to install, although you will need to look at the wall anchors to see what size drill bit to use. I liked the fact that it is adjustable because I don't have to be perfect. The downside to this is the adjusting flanges overlap so you get a little curtain catch. My advice is to think which way you open your curtain before putting the bar up for least resistance. I'm a man with rather broad shoulders and ever since I installed this shower bar, I no longer hit my shoulders or elbows on the curtain. This is so much better and cheaper than remodeling the entire bathroom.

There are so many things wrong with this shower rod. First, the instruction manual is incorrect. A 5-8 cm installation from the outer rim of the tub is insufficient for the length of shower curtain they recommend. Second, the screws fell apart easily; for example, the head of one of the screws fell off while I was screwing it in with moderate torque. Third, the overlap makes it difficult for the rings to slide easily over the rod. Finally, I just installed the rod, but if it rusts like the other reviews report, then this rod really is a horrible buy.

We purchased this product as one of the final touches to a master bath remodel. Within a month it began rusting but we left it be, thinking it to cumbersome of a task to uninstall and return. Serves us right, now 6 months later it is completely rusted. I'm guessing we no longer have the receipt and even if we did we're likely out of the warranty phase.

All of the literature with the rod stressed to NOT RETURN THE ITEM TO THE STORE and to CALL CUSTOMER SERVICE FIRST if you encounter ANY problems with the product, and they'll take care of you. I contacted Zenith customer service ... all they did was tell me to take it back to the store. Avoid this product at all costs.
